An innovative platform for a digital revolution.
Sales-Lentz, the transport company in Luxembourg par excellence, is innovating. Organisational as well as functional issues have been tackled by focusing on a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform with more possibilities. The new S4/Hana now serves as a starting point for further growth and innovation. SQLI, a major player in the field of digital innovation, was chosen for the implementation of SAP S/4 Hana through its Belgium-Luxembourg office.
Sales-Lentz has been operating for more than 60 years. With over 1,300 employees spread across several European countries, they go all the way to get people safely to their destination. In addition to Sales-Lentz, the Sales-Lentz group also owns Flibco, We love to travel, Travel Pro, Executive Lane and Voyages Léonard. Flibco provides airport transport at no less than 14 European airports. Over 500 of the group’s vehicles collectively cover more than 42 million kilometres a year, be it by coach, public transport, exclusive limousines or special needs transport.
Sales-Lentz’s commitment to innovation has been clear for years: in 2009, the world's first hybrid bus was delivered to Sales-Lentz by Volvo. This collaboration with Volvo continued successfully and led to the the launch of the world's first 100-percent electric buses in 2017.
After several acquisitions, it became clear that an upgrade of the existing software platform was necessary. A migration to S/4 Hana as a digital core was a logical next step offering the following benefits:
The migration from the existing ECC 6.0 to the new SAP S/4 Hana was completed in March 2019. The user-friendly SAP Fiori interface clearly demonstrates the added value of the innovative software: "When SQLI approached us with the S/4 Hana proposal, we would never have believed the possibilities that a new platform could offer us.
